LF Europe Investments aims to invest in consumer goods businesses with either a strong brand or an innovative retail concept in main European markets. We focus on the following sectors, with a preference for lifestyle concepts and heritage brands:

• Clothing and accessories
• Cosmetics, personal care and consumer healthcare
• Home
• Sports, leisure, travel

LF Europe takes minority and majority stakes in opportunities that offer at least one, and typically several, of the following attributes:

• strong management teams
• presence in a growing market segment; scalability into other markets or product areas
• unique competitive advantages such as branding expertise, control of distribution networks, and patentable technology or know-how
• proven and sustainable business model
• opportunities to leverage the Li & Fung business network

We will invest as majority or minority shareholders, in both buyouts and development capital situations.

We will also co-invest with other private equity firms in larger transactions or in transactions where we can bring the Li & Fung Group's strategic expertise to the table.

Finally, LF Europe also provides funding to European businesses wanting to expand into Asia.

Tugba Unkan - is the Managing Director of LF Europe Investments. Based in London, she covers the UK and Continental European markets. She was formerly an Investment Director of Li & Fung Limited and managed cross-border M&A and private equity transactions in Europe. Prior to joining Li & Fung Group, Ms. Unkan was based in Hong Kong, in her capacity as the CFO of the SEBO Group, a specialised trading company, and in Investment Banking with ING Barings and Credit Agricole Indosuez. Ms. Unkan is Turkish and holds a degree from HEC School of Management, France.
